Proposal for a climate goal for 2040 will be discussed again in November

At the European Union summit in Brussels, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala categorically rejected the proposal for a climate goal for 2040, which is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90 percent compared to 1990. The proposal was originally supposed to be voted on by the EU Environment Ministers already in September, but everything was postponed and the debate was moved to the summit at the request of France, Germany, Italy, and other countries. No decision was made on the climate target at the current summit, but the Union's presidents and prime ministers did have a strategic discussion on the topic. The decision will again be up to the Environment Ministers, who will meet on November 4, reported the portal Ceskenoviny.cz.

Musk wants to prevent "corporate terrorists" from gaining control over Tesla

While in the past Elon Musk has claimed he needs to increase his stake in Tesla to become the world's first billionaire, this week he said his aim is not to increase his wealth, but to protect his company. He stated that he wants to protect Tesla from two influential firms that advise shareholders on how to vote. These are specifically ISS and Glass Lewis. He also labeled them as "corporate terrorists", because some index funds, which control a large portion of Tesla's shares, allegedly blindly follow the recommendations of these two companies, reported CNN.
