Fuel is the most expensive it has been in several years.

After the price of diesel has increased by more than 15 crowns per liter and gasoline by roughly eight crowns in the Czech Republic recently, the Ministry of Finance decided to cap fuel prices. The Ministry of Finance will announce these maximum prices for the first time today. The U.S. military allocated more than 170 aircraft and helicopters to rescue the pilot of an F-15E fighter jet.

The Ministry Will Monitor Fuel Prices

The Ministry of Finance will publish the maximum fuel prices for the following day, specifically for Wednesday, for the first time today. This is part of a package of measures decided by the government last week due to high fuel prices. Other steps include capping the margins of fuel distributors and reducing the excise duty on diesel. Fuel prices have been significantly increasing since the beginning of March due to the conflict in the Middle East. Over the past week, the most sold petrol, Natural 95, has increased by 14 halers to 41.63 CZK per liter, and diesel by 34 halers to 48.39 CZK, according to data from the company CCS, as reported by the portal Ceskenoviny.cz.

The Rescue Mission Required Great Commitment

The United States used more than 170 aircraft and helicopters in the search for the crew of an F-15E jet shot down by Iran. This was stated by American President Donald Trump at a press conference, according to whom no members of the American armed forces were injured during the rescue mission. Trump also threatened imprisonment for media personnel who published a report that one crew member is still on Iranian territory. According to the president, they endangered the life of this soldier as well as all those involved in the rescue mission, wrote the server Ceskenoviny.cz.

Six months after President Donald Trump shocked with the statement that pregnant women should not take Tylenol because it is "associated with a significantly increased risk of autism," the impact of his comments is still significant. In the initial months after the White House announcement, fewer pregnant patients were taking Tylenol, reports a recently published study in the medical journal The Lancet. The state attorney general sued the manufacturer of Tylenol, arguing that they failed to disclose its risks. Conversely, scientists have already established an independent group to counter government efforts and debunk misinformation, reported CNN.
