Vnitroblock in Holešovice

Water views with reflecting sunsets? That's what the Holešovice district in Prague 7 offers. It is located in a "bend" embraced by the Vltava River. Romantic walks along the water are guaranteed here. Over the years, this diverse area has been transformed from a working-class part into a place full of art and culture. Old factories have become art centers, while a former brewery or steam mill have given life to modern office spaces. Although you won't find factories with slaughterhouses here anymore, you will be thrilled by a tangled network full of the most interesting businesses, museums, galleries, and music clubs.

In recent years, Holešovice has become one of the most attractive areas for living in the metropolis. Residents of Prague can find everything they need for life here. Regular cultural events with a truly developed gastronomic and café culture. There is also plenty of sports opportunities nearby. You can enjoy a light jog or a ride on inline skates with great views along the banks of the Vltava River. Holešovice is a meeting point of two different worlds. In one, you'll be welcomed by peace, privacy, and nature, while in the other, work opportunities and plenty of urban life entertainment await.

Watch out for the devil

You're strolling through Štvanice, coffee from Dos Mundos in hand, and suddenly Rudolf Kubík pops up. Yes, that can happen too. This charismatic actor, whom you might know as the devil from the fairy tale From Hell to Luck, has fulfilled a dream here. That dream was a duplex apartment with a terrace. And he highlights the views from the terrace over the Vltava as the biggest plus.

“I feel like I'm on vacation here. I look at the river and enjoy it. Mainly, you can't be seen from anywhere here, so I can sunbathe naked without worry. Absolute privacy is the biggest added value of this residence,”

Ruda said in an interview for iDNES.cz.

For food and entertainment

The main attraction of this location is undoubtedly the venues. If you're the café type and enjoy going out for a good meal, you'll be thrilled here. One well-known spot is the multifunctional space Vnitroblock, where you will find a café, restaurant, gallery, and several rental spaces. Various events often take place there, and they also offer options for vegans.

Prague residents have certainly heard of SaSaZu, a renowned Asian restaurant that elevates the whole Holešovice gastro scene to a higher level.

If you prefer to enjoy your coffee while taking a walk in nature, or if bustling streets have simply tired you out, don't worry. The city park Stromovka is in close proximity, where you can relax and enjoy a moment of peace and nature.

Safety First

Holešovice is located in Prague 7, which prides itself on the care and maintenance of the entire area. This is why issues like illegal graffiti are thoroughly addressed here.

"Any vandalism has a significant impact on whether people feel good and safe in their neighborhood. From experience, we know that if illegal graffiti appears on a building, the only effective measure is to remove it quickly. Persistent tags act as a reliable magnet for other graffiti sprayers. For buildings managed by the district, we try to remove graffiti as soon as possible, and we also address graffiti that appears on playground or park equipment under our care."

said the mayor of Prague 7 Jan Čižinský.

Instead of public spaces, Prague 7 offers the possibility of starter studios for young artists. As part of the Art District 7 project, a competition for two starter studios at a discounted price is being announced for the seventh time.

Advantageous Location

Holešovice is located almost in the center of Prague, making it a very well-positioned location. You can reach the very center within ten minutes and public transport is also accessible. If you want to experience the true beauty of Prague's center without the omnipresent tourists, Holešovice is just for you.
