There are rare deer, good transport infrastructure, and civic amenities. Two primary schools, a kindergarten for 218 children, and in the deer park run rare milu deer. That's Uhříněves, a place that is still in Prague, but also in amazing nature.

The place will amaze you with its tranquility, which you can fully exploit, but also its cultural life. There is also a medical house and above all a beautiful deer park.

Celebrities love this place

After all, transport accessibility is a great advantage of this location, which sometimes even celebrities choose as their place to live. Jiřina Bohdalová also lives nearby. And as we already mentioned, the singer Iveta Bartošová lived here too.

Everywhere close, you can reach Prague in minutes

In addition to a quick journey by car, you can get to the center of Prague in 20 minutes by train to the Main Station. It takes about 17 minutes to get to the Háje metro station. Everything is within reach, at the same time you have plenty of peace and privacy. Neighbourhood relationships are excellent in Uhříněves and everyone respects the privacy of their neighbours.

A game park as a paradise of nature

Nature lovers will rejoice, the local game park on the shore of Podleský pond is home to European deer and several Milu deer. They are truly unique as the Milu deer is now among naturally extinct animals. Their homeland is China and still survive only in similar game parks and zoological gardens.

Good civil amenities

Young families can find everything they need. In 2008, a nursery school with a capacity for 218 children, was built, which fully met the needs of the baby boom at that time. In fact, Uhříněves has two elementary schools both of which have been reconstructed. Gymnasiums, tennis courts or a wooden gazebo, these are all part of the school on Vachkov Street. The primary school on Bří Jandusů square can boast with newly reconstructed building with some classrooms in the attic.

There is also a multi-purpose house, in which there are offices of 17 doctors, a police station, shops, and restaurants. The municipality also has a home with social services currently available for 40 seniors.

Interest activities are also of a high standard. There is a theatre ensemble or a children's choir. Music events, cultural events such as museum night, are regularly held here.
The local museum is a real treat. It hosts short-term exhibitions, the permanent exhibition is currently closed.

A piece of harsh war history

On the northern edge of the game reserve is a Jewish cemetery, which was in active operation until 1942. This year was cruel for the entire village.

In June of this year, an assassination attempt was made on Reinhard Heydrich and a memorial house is located in Uhříněves. In today's Lidicka Street , parachutists were hiding in the spring, preparing an assassination and sending encrypted messages.

In the autumn, 35 people were arrested, including the then mayor František Diviš. Three months later, he died in Auschwitz. Just like another 46 Jews originating from this community. Only a few of them eventually returned after the war. The local museum also deals with these topics in its exhibitions. History here is really rich.
