Robert Fico and Vladimir Putin

Slovak President Robert Fico met in China with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, who is accused of war crimes in Ukraine, and plans to normalize relations with him. The German side wants to solve the problem with waste illegally exported by a German company for the disposal of waste from the production of airplanes and wind turbines in the Czech territory near the town of Bruntál.

Fico Wants to Improve Relations with Russia

The Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday that Slovakia wants to normalise its relations with Moscow and increase imports of Russian gas via the TurkStream pipeline. These comments are in contrast to the stance of the European Union, which seeks to cut off imports of Russian energy supplies to punish Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and they come at a critical stage of efforts to end the conflict.

Representatives of both states are guests of the anniversary parade of the end of World War II in China, where apart from Putin, the Chinese President Xi Jinping is also hosting the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, the agency Reuters reported.

German waste in the Czech Republic will be eliminated

Roth International, a company specializing in the dismantling of aircraft and wind turbines, has been illegally exporting waste to the Jiříkov area in the Bruntálsko region. The municipal authorities of the German Upper Palatinate decided to dispose of these wastes in an environmentally friendly manner.

"Waste disposal illegally deposited in the Bohemian town of Jiříkov should start on September 8, 2025," stated government spokesperson for the Upper Palatinate region Kathrin Kammermeierová according to the ČTK agency.

According to images, Israel has nuclear weapons facilities

According to satellite images, which were analyzed by experts, construction work has intensified on a new significant building in a facility that is key to the Israeli atomic weapons production program, which has long been suspicious. According to them, it could be a new reactor or a facility for assembling nuclear weapons, but due to secrecy, it is difficult to verify this information with certainty.

Work at the Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center near the city of Dimona raises questions about Israel's generally accepted status as the only nuclear state in the Middle East. It also raises the question of whether the situation will provoke international criticism. In June, Israel and the United States bombed nuclear facilities across Iran due to fears that the Islamic Republic could use its uranium enrichment facilities to produce a nuclear weapon. Among the targeted sites was the Iranian heavy water reactor in Arak, reported AP agency.

Google doesn't have to sell Chrome, but it has to share data

A U.S. federal judge has ruled that Google will not have to sell its web browser Chrome, but it will have to share information with competitors. The remedial measures, decided by district judge Amit Mehta, stemmed from several years of legal battle over Google's dominant position in internet search.

The case focused on Google's position as the default search engine in many of its own products, such as Android and Chrome, and in other products manufactured by companies such as Apple. The U.S. Department of Justice demanded that the Google Chrome platform be sold. Tuesday's decision, however, means that the technology giant can keep it, but it will not be able to enter into exclusive contracts and will have to share search data from the browser with competitors, the BBC reported.
