The story of the Czech sultana: A woman without a past, who will one day be the queen of Malaysia
Jana Jakoubková, seemingly a common Czech name. But she is seen alongside the Malaysian Sultan Muhammad V. She is the sultanah of the Malaysian federated state of Kelantan. Everything around her is shrouded in mystery, so we can assume that she significantly helped to drive away the second wife, the controversial Miss Moscow.
She is 37 years old, born in Prague. There she also probably lived until she was in her twenties. We don't know where, we don't know where she studied, we don't even know where she met the Sultan. The wedding was held in 2010, when she also converted to Islam. For many years she lived as a invisible accompaniment to her husband before a scandal revealed her identity.

The past is erased and untraceable. Maybe she did it, maybe the people around the sultan, perhaps the Malaysian secret service. So it is still unknown, how she got into the palace in Malaysian Kelantan to the luxurious position of sultan's wife. The story is shrouded in mystery and seems like it's cut from a romantic movie.
Maybe... because we can't see beyond the wall. Probably we will never see, because information from government circles is strictly confidential. Also diplomatic relations are minimal or non-existent.
There is even a rumor that the sultan bought her the castle Protivín near Písek in Bohemia, so she would have somewhere to return to one day.
Smiling at official events, beautiful and popular
You can see how her official events look, for example, in this video. In public, she is always in a good official mood, smiling and pleasant. However, what life is like behind the walls of the royal palace is strictly secret.
The public loves her, she represents alongside her husband, participates in foreign trips, receives important guests. She also participates as a patron in the operation of various charitable events and organizations. People also love the fact that her life is not intertwined with any scandals, as is the case with other sultans.
There is one exception. She cost the sultan his royal position.
Second wife was Miss Moscow
Muhammad V. was king for two years when he made a fatal mistake. In 2018, he secretly married in Moscow to a supermodel and holder of the Miss Moscow title, Oksana Gorbatenko Voevodina.
Oksana said that two days after the wedding, the first wife of the sultan, Diana Petra, called her. She stated that she is his first wife and allegedly threatened her. However, it was a case of he said, she said. The gossip carousel was already spinning. The Czech sultana of course did not publicly comment on the matter. Until then, the public did not even know that the sultan already had a first wife in the palace. The media dramatized the situation, the sultan reassured. Today his former wife goes by the name Rihana Petra.
The Sultan had to resign
It seems that the Sultan resigned from the royal function due to a marital scandal. It is important to realize, that two wives in Islamic countries are not the primary problem. The problem is that the first wife must approve her husband's second wife. And that did not happen. Pressure was also exerted on him for other reasons. Oksana revealed too much of his private life. But also her own.

Scandalous! Oksana's photographs in underwear have leaked to the public. She also participated in a reality show where she publicly made love with another participant. The recording was also made public. Unforgivable! To top it all off, there are various speculations that she could be a deployed Russian spy.

Oksana somehow helped Jana Jakoubková. Or hurt, it's hard to say today… She was the first to publicly reveal her new sultana name, Diana Petra.

One thing the Czech-born definitely gained. When a year after their wedding, in 2019, the sultan completely rid himself of his second marriage, Oksana fought for paternity determination, because the sultan denied that the baby was his, Diana Petra got the title.
In 2022, she was awarded the title Her Royal Highness Nur Diana Petra Abdullah. This is very exceptional, this title is not given to every sultan's wife.
She could be a queen one day
The Kings of Malaysia change every five years, a rotating monarchy, and the rulers always become the next sultans of nine countries. In theory, the Czech sultana could become the Queen of Malaysia at the end of her life. And her husband could become king a second time. Hopefully, he won't have to abdicate again.
