One of the oldest European museums of wax figures, Grévin, unveiled the model of Princess Diana in Paris. The forced displacement of Palestinians from three refugee camps on the occupied West Bank by the Israeli army, which occurred at the beginning of the year, was carried out "regardless of international legal protection," according to the organization Human Rights Watch.
Princess Diana returned to Paris yesterday as a wax figure decades after her tragic death in the city in 1997, as reported by the agency AP. One of the oldest European wax museums, Grévin, decided to take this step after the museum director visited London and left disappointed when he saw Diana's likeness in the Madame Tussauds museum. The wax figure of the late Princess of Wales is dressed in a replica of a black tight-fitting cocktail dress that Diana wore at an event at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 1994. It was the same night when King Charles III, then Prince Charles, admitted on television that he had been unfaithful to her with Camilla Parker Bowles, now Queen Camilla.
The Human Rights Watch organization stated that the violent eviction of Palestinians from three refugee camps on the occupied West Bank of the Jordan River by the Israeli army early this year constitutes war crimes and a crime against humanity. In a report published on Thursday, this human rights organization stated that the Israeli army has expelled 32,000 Palestinians from their homes in the Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams refugee camps since January of this year. Satellite images also showed that more than 850 homes and other buildings were destroyed or heavily damaged in the three refugee camps that the Israeli army focused on, according to the report quoted by Al Jazeera.
