Trump's administration has approved the sale of weapons to Ukraine worth 825 million dollars, which is more than 17 billion crowns in the exchange rate, which will include long-range missiles and related equipment to strengthen the country's defense. Whether there will be any restrictions on the weapons for strikes against Russia is not clear. This is happening at a time when efforts to mediate peace between Ukraine and Russia are stagnating. In addition to foreign military financing from the United States, financial resources from Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway will also be used for payment, wrote the AP agency.
The European Commission has proposed the abolition of duties on the import of American industrial goods, which is part of a trade agreement between the EU and the USA, that should lead to a retrospective reduction of American duties on imports of cars from the European Union. This proposal is the first step towards the implementation of a framework agreement concluded between the EU and the United States last week. The written framework agreement confirms a preliminary oral agreement made in July between US President Donald Trump and European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen and includes, among other things, a 15 percent cap on duties on most imports from the EU to the US, including cars, medicines, semiconductors and wood, according to the website Ceskenoviny.cz.
The United Kingdom, France, and Germany have initiated a 30-day process leading to the re-imposition of UN sanctions on Iran, as according to the trio of European countries, Tehran is not complying with the obligations regarding international control of its nuclear program arising from the 2015 agreement.
At the request of the Europeans, an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council will be held today, which will discuss the sanctions. In the meantime, Russia and China have completed the draft of a Security Council resolution that would extend the 2015 nuclear agreement by six months, and at the same time called on all parties involved to immediately resume negotiations, reported Ceskenoviny.cz website.
