Danish Elections Likely Decided by Centrists
The parliamentary elections in Denmark were narrowly won by left-wing parties, including the Social Democrats led by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, but they did not secure a majority in the 179-member parliament. After counting 90 percent of the votes, Danish broadcaster TV2 reported this. Neither do the right-wing parties have a majority, so the centrist Moderates led by Foreign Minister and former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen could decide who will form the government. Projections promise left-wing parties 83 seats, right-wing parties 78 seats, and centrists 14 seats.
