Gaza awaits the outcome of negotiations

The newly approved UN resolution for Gaza is based on the truce plan of US President Donald Trump, which among other things envisages the establishment of an international committee chaired by him, which would oversee the events in Palestinian territory. More than 100 thousand people commemorated the Velvet Revolution events on National Street in Prague. The program included a range of actions, including debates, exhibitions and activities for families with children.

International forces are to oversee the situation in Gaza

The UN Security Council adopted a U.S. resolution, which includes help from international forces in Gaza, reported the server Ceskenoviny.cz. The American proposal passed by 13 to zero, with Russia and China abstaining. A Hamas spokesperson in this regard stated that it would exchange Israeli occupation for "foreign guardianship". The resolution stems from U.S. President Donald Trump's ceasefire plan, which, among other things, envisages the establishment of an international committee, chaired by Trump, which would oversee events in Palestinian territory. The Israeli war in Gaza since October 2023 has killed at least 69,483 Palestinians and 170,706 have been injured. During Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, a total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel and about 200 were captured.

Relations between Tokyo and Beijing have significantly deteriorated since the beginning of this month when Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi suggested that the Japanese army could intervene to prevent China from taking control over Taiwan. China is the largest source of foreign tourists for Japan, reported Al Jazeera. According to the Japanese National Tourism Organization, this is almost a quarter of the total of 31.65 million arrivals that took place in the first nine months of this year.
