I'm proud when Superstar participants are successful, admits Palo Habera. If he criticized at home like he does in the jury, he wouldn't get dinner.
We met Pala Haber with his beautiful wife, model Daniela Pešťová, on the red carpet during the opening ceremony of the Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, which they have visited several times. They arrived in a great mood and in flattering outfits. Is Palo as tough a critic at home as he is in Superstar? And what is he planning right now?
We all know him as a successful musician performing in the band TEAM and as a judge of the singing competition Superstar.
But few people know that he studied economics and can boast a degree of engineer in his name.
What else you might not know about him? In 1991, he wrote a song for another singer, which soon became a huge hit. That singer is Karel Gott, for whom he wrote one of his most successful songs When a man has breakfast with a woman.
The next tour will be in the fall, preparing new singles
Naturally, during the interview, the conversation turned to his current professional plans.
" We are also taking it easy this year, because we had the tour last year,
reveals the former female idol.
But fans don't have to be sad. They have something to look forward to soon.
"We are now making new songs. In the fall, we will probably go on a smaller unplugged tour to Slovakia, which we did a few years ago in the Czech Republic, but not yet in Slovakia. And then we have the next year clearly planned,"

Favourite movies? You might not have expected these
Because we met at the most significant event in the Czech Republic for film makers and enthusiasts, we had to ask about cinematography.
"I like movies like Pelíšky or Forrest Gump - that kind of style, where every ten minutes there's a punchline that amuses you. I like it when I can laugh at a movie, when it entertains me, but at the same time I don't have to be too saddened by it."
Who is the biggest talent of all time in Superstar?
Palo Habera is also known to the younger generations for his appearances in the jury of Superstar, where he has been since the first series. While other judges are changing over the series, he is the only constant there.
So we asked Palo if he still enjoys being a judge in Superstar after all this time and who he thinks is the biggest talent that has ever appeared in Superstar.
"I don't even remember which edition it is, when was the last one actually. Sure, fortunately we have a break sometimes and in the meantime we look for new talents. And it's the same this year - actually for the last few years. As far as I know, the next edition should be next year again, and that pleases me. I enjoy paving the way for new people."
Notice how young interpreters are doing - for example Ben has now sold out Eden! But I also like those who may not make it in the competition, but suddenly appear somewhere and are successful. For me, winning the competition is not important. What is important is doing what you enjoy,"
explains Palo.
He often quite indiscriminately expresses uncompromising criticism to the participants, which has already on several occasions aroused controversial reactions among viewers.
Therefore, we asked whether he is also a tough critic at home - for example, when he gets dinner from his half.
While Palo refrained from comments, his wife took over the word.
"He wouldn't get a second one,"
she says with a smile.
The couple has been together for more than 20 years. They met in 2000 during a fashion show in Prague, which Daniela moderated. They have a daughter named Ella Joy Anna and a son Paul Henry.
