The former Viničné Hory retain a picturesque undulating landscape. Until 1922, Královské Vinohrady was an independent city. Today's Vinohrady were artificially divided among five neighboring districts in 1960. Prague 1, Prague 2, Prague 10, and small parts were also given to the Old and New Town. The current shape has still retained tiny pieces of its former character. Once there were sprawling vineyards, gardens, and fields here.
