Fashion against the current from Miss Czech Republic 2025: Kočendová a la lemon pudding, tasteless Rachel, and leopardess Dospivová
The 16th annual Miss Czech Republic contest took place over the weekend. The crown and the title of Miss World was won by a twenty-one-year-old Linda Górecká from Ostrava. The grand finale attracted a number of celebrities who competed on the red carpet in terms of taste and extravagance. Who shined and who, on the contrary, made a bad move? We bring you a selection of the most successful and daring outfits of the evening.

The model and Miss World bet on shiny stones, a deep neckline and body. The fitting cut of the dress makes her look like she's from a global red carpet. The most attention, however, is drawn to the dramatically gathered sleeves, which add not only extravagance but also a couture touch to the overall impression. Some might find it too much, but at this type of event it is more than welcome. Moreover, thanks to them she was unmissable behind the judging panel. The Hollywood hairstyle perfectly complements the whole look. Krystyna showed how to do evening glamour at a high level.
Eliška Dospivová
The interior designer and businesswoman opted for a leopard pattern from the new collection of the Czech designer Tomáš Němec. She was the first to wear the dress, as it was only presented a week ago at Prague fashion week. Eliška is known for rarely choosing a dress for an event by another designer, she is a regular customer of his. The traditionally silhouette of the turtleneck elastane dress with a corset was this time complemented by a silk train, which gives the dress a timeless look. Dospivová knows what suits her and she is aware of current trends not only in fashion. And she did not falter here either. Bravo!
Aneta Vignerová
The model traditionally opted for black. Satin adds shine and evening sophistication to the outfit, while the exposed waist and deep neckline bring a sexy moment worth attention. Pronounced shoulders provide volume and a subtle retro vibe to the model, however, their design could have been slightly different in this case. Bold earrings and a handbag with details ensure the outfit stays within its style line. The only detail I would consider is the lace bra, which doesn't quite fit the look. If it was made from a different material or if Aneta omitted it altogether, it would undeniably create a more luxurious impression.
Andrea Verešová
The model opted for a polished look, which she certainly didn't miss with. The corseted sparkly dress with a long skirt suits her figure perfectly and mimics the figure ideally. The high slit can afford her legs. The dress is sensual but still tasteful. Hair slicked back into a smooth hairstyle leaves room for the dress itself. The only thing she could have chosen differently is the footwear, as these heels are a bit out of fashion and do not have a luxurious impression.

The pregnant ex-participant of a reality show wanted to attract attention to herself again, but even here she failed. A see-through dress with rhinestones looks cheap, just like the bra she chose to wear under it. She could have opted for a black one, and it would have looked different. I understand that she wants to be sexy even with a growing belly, but it can also be done elegantly. In her case, it's always less is sometimes more.
Ornella Koktová
This is exactly the case when the dress more resembles a Christmas decoration than a trendy look. The cut indeed flatters the figure, but the sparkling fabric in a green shade seems more like from a rental from 2005. Revealing shoulders, a mysterious choker around the neck and a purse calls for a different look. Sure, the purse is from a luxury brand, but it doesn't always fit with everything. Overall, it just doesn't match. This time Ornelle didn't succeed, unfortunately.
Yenifer Cao
I really don't understand this at all. Yeni chose a dress with a corset, so she obviously follows some trends, but that's about it. The corset has a weird print for me, which makes no sense. The semi-transparent black skirt with lace does not match the corset at all and is more of a detriment than a benefit. If it was purely made of black fabric, it would give a more opulent impression. The necklace around her neck is also a misstep. It doesn't matter, maybe she'll succeed next time.
Natálie Kočendová
The model bet on a yellow sheep. A robe in the shade of "lemon pudding" is proof that even couture fabric can produce something that resembles a combination of school uniform and carnival costume. The top part with ruffles looks like a wringer attack on an innocent blouse, and the shirt collar doesn't add much to it, just like the belt, which definitely doesn't save it in this case. The whole look is strained, like she would desperately want to attract attention. If at least the look had a consistent tone, but this way it's one big fashion mishmash.
