End or a new beginning? Rebel Demi Lovato erased her past from social media, but she will fulfill fans' dream
American singer Demi Lovato has transformed several times over the years. And when she recently took the stage again alongside the Jonas Brothers with an iconic song from the musical film Camp Rock, it seemed that she had found herself again. This would also be evidenced by the fact that she deleted almost all the photos from her social networks and left only the current ones. It's as if she longed to start over after the wild years.
Demi Lovato has had a colorful life, full of successes, painful twists and dramatic transformations. She first appeared on television more than 20 years ago. She started in the children's show Barney and Friends. Her first major breakthrough in her career is associated with the movie Camp Rock, where she appeared in the lead role. In the musically conceived film, she primarily sang several iconic songs, which are still evergreens for many millennials. When she recently reappeared on stage alongside Joe Jonas, fans were thrilled. It seemed that the old Demi is back.

For example, in 2021 she came out as non-binary, and two years later announced that she is returning to the female gender. "I struggle with this every day, for example in public bathrooms. I have to use the women's bathroom even though I don't fully identify with it," she said.
Over time, she has changed so many times that we couldn't even count them on one hand. She had short hair, gained weight, lost weight, had a spider tattooed on her bald head. All this accompanied by addiction and fighting with herself.
Although in 2008 she became an idol for teenagers after releasing her debut album, only two years later it came out that she has mental problems and is undergoing treatment. For the first time, she entered rehab due to problems with drugs, alcohol, self-harm, and eating disorders. This is also likely one of the reasons why her physique has repeatedly dramatically changed in recent years. The period significantly marked her, and she then began to speak publicly about mental health.
Returns and steep falls
In 2013, she celebrated her comeback and success, mainly with the hit Heart Attack. She showed a new image, a more mature look, and was open to talking about her demons in the media. She probably helped hundreds of thousands of young teenagers who were going through something similar in their life.

"She was supposed to be dead," confirmed her friend. "It damaged my brain, I still struggle with the consequences. I can't drive a car because I have blind spots in my field of vision. I also couldn't read. For about two months, I had completely blurred vision. All of this is here to remind me what can happen if I return to the dark side. I'm grateful for these reminders," she added.
She took a long time to recover and later admitted that the fight against addiction is very challenging for her. However, she picked herself up again, as always. She showed that she doesn't give up. She returns to her rock image, and even found love. In May of this year, she married the musician Jutes, who is a great support for her. It seems that better times are on the horizon and the deleted history on Instagram indicates that Demi is closing one door. And hopefully opening new ones.
