Trump's behavior is quite unpredictable

American President Donald Trump stated that at Pakistan's request, he is extending the truce with Iran until Tehran presents a unified peace proposal and negotiations are completed. However, he also ordered the US military to continue the blockade of Iranian ports, which Tehran previously stated violates the truce. Czech Television and Czech Radio criticize the government's proposal to change public broadcasting financing. According to them, the proposed changes interfere with the basic principles and safeguards for their free, stable, and predictable functioning.

The Situation in the Middle East Escalates Again, Oil Prices Rise

Oil prices, after an initial drop, started to surge sharply once again yesterday. The losses were attributed to the expectation that peace talks between the United States and Iran would take place this week, allowing for higher oil supplies from the important region in the Middle East. However, this changed when U.S. President Donald Trump announced in the afternoon that he was extending the truce. At the same time, he ordered the American military to continue the blockade of Iranian ports. According to the affected country, this means nothing. Iran stated that Trump's move is a trick to gain time for a surprise attack, as reported by the portal Ceskenoviny.cz.

Trump and other high-ranking Republicans will read Bible passages during a marathon event

U.S. President Donald Trump, many of his supporters, and top Republicans are participating this week in a marathon Bible reading as part of the America 250 event, which aims to encourage the public to "return to the spiritual foundation that shaped our country." Critics, however, argue that the event is part of a larger project aiming to link the upcoming 250th anniversary of America with the idea that portrays the founding of the country as inherently Christian. Many historians question this notion, the agency AP reported.
