France awaits a new government

French MPs expressed a vote of no confidence in the government of the centrist Prime Minister François Bayrou, who is to resign today. Bayrou has been in office since the 13th of last December and over the past two years he has been the fourth prime minister. 364 MPs voted against the government, while 194 were in favor of continuing the current minority cabinet. The opposition disagreed with the prime minister's austerity plan amounting to about €44 billion, or more than a trillion crowns, which among other things, envisages the reduction of holidays and freezing of expenditure growth. According to media reports, President Emmanuel Macron will soon appoint a new prime minister, says the server Ceskenoviny.cz.

Descendants of Robert Murdoch Divide Their Property

Rupert Murdoch's family has reached an agreement allowing eldest son Lachlan Murdoch to take control of the vast media portfolio. The agreement concerns Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, and The Times. Lachlan is generally perceived as more of an advocate of his father's conservative views. Lachlan's three eldest siblings, James, Elizabeth, and Prudence, will renounce their shares in the existing family trust and will receive an equal share from the sale of stocks, reported Al Jazeera. Media estimated that the siblings will receive approximately 3.3 billion dollars, which is about 70 billion crowns in conversion.
