To be fair: Trump and his love for Putin. Even the Russians themselves recommend medical care for him, but no rejuvenation treatment is planned

Donald Trump

Understanding Donald Trump's thinking is beyond the capabilities of any sane person. The case involving the purchase of Russian oil shows that while the American president may commit one more insane act after another, he cannot circumvent the basic laws of their consequences.

When Trump confidently declared that he would end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours, a question arose in serious discussion: how would he do it? The answer was actually simple. If Ukraine lost the support of Western allies led by the USA, then Russia could gain a great advantage and quickly subjugate Ukraine. The solution was on the table.

However, that was a question still before Trump's return to the White House, and the situation has changed since then. The Ukrainians have demonstrated incredible ingenuity in the art of war, and probably even if not a single cartridge came to Ukraine from Europe and the USA anymore, the Ukrainians would manage to defend themselves with some clever strategy for many more months.

Trump's Last Person Who Called Him

However, their state would sooner or later go completely bankrupt and Russia would finally be able to control it. Albeit with some form of guerrilla warfare at its back. If Trump had sided with Russia two years ago, the entire operation could have been faster. He only did it now, when European countries have intensified their support for Ukraine and the character of the war there has shifted even more towards attrition tactics, therefore a quick end to the war is possible only and solely at the will of Vladimir Putin.

As is well known, he doesn't want to end the war until the Russian flag flies in Kyiv. He wants nothing other than total victory. Therefore, any discussion about a few kilometers of borders that Ukraine will give up solves nothing, since this discussion has also been going on for two years.

If Trump wanted to force Ukraine to capitulate, he should have done it earlier. If he wanted to destroy the Iranian regime, he should have attacked it before the bloody suppression of the protests there. We must look elsewhere for an explanation of the American president's actions. Not only in the fact that he is looking for ways to wriggle out of the fact that his ill-conceived war in the Persian Gulf has raised petrol and diesel prices.

One of the rules of Trump's presidency is that he repeats what the last person he spoke to on the phone told him. This time it was Putin, so during the last phone call he ate out of his hand.

However, Trump can talk on the phone with European leaders who would gladly talk him out of supporting Putin's regime, so it's possible that the White House chief will turn around again. We've seen these U-turns many times before.

Trump is being advised to take more cognitive tests

Trump's phone call with Putin has become an almost viral topic in the Russian media space. The reactions of commentators there are absolutely exuberant. The powerful American president, who had been so feared since the fall of the Soviet Union, is in Trump's rendition a ridiculous confused old man.

"I recommend Donald Trump undergo more cognitive tests than missile tests," one of the commentators in a discussion on Rossija 1 mocks the American president's mental state.

**embed:<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="cs" dir="ltr">That moment when Trump saves those who mock him. Russian state television mocks Trump over his deal with Putin and calls him a fool. Propagandist Skabeeva is confused by the oil deal, after all Russia itself is going through a major fuel crisis😁</p>&mdash; VěraČ 🇨🇿🍀🌞⭐️ (@VerulinkaM) <a href="https://x.com/VerulinkaM/status/2110043002081247679?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 13, 2026</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.x.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> **

But we also know that what the Russians say in these spectacles is usually the exact opposite of reality. Or have they exceptionally let loose the reins of their honesty?

In the meantime, images came from Ukraine again of Russian bombardment of women and children living peacefully in their cities. Ukrainian air defense this time remained at a disadvantage, as the Americans did not pass on their intelligence data to them. However, President Trump stated that he is helping Ukraine and sharing this information with them, as CNN reminded.

Does the American president still know what he's doing? Most likely not. Solutions are starting to emerge in the public space.

"Who to give voting rights to and who to take them from, so that it at least functions elementarily," evolutionary biologist Jan Zrzavý delved into the controversial topic in the Čestmír podcast.

In his interpretation, restrictions could be imposed from both sides. Not only for the youngest, but also for the oldest, meaning people would lose their voting rights 18 years before death according to demographic data. The population is aging and elderly voters will be an increasingly important source of political decision-making, while younger ones will have to pay more and more for their pensions. In this equation, one side will be very dissatisfied.

Taking away the active right to vote from people who have traditionally had it would certainly be a departure from democracy. But what about the passive one (the right to be elected)? The whole charade with the senile Trump, who obviously has no idea what he's doing, would be solved, and as a bonus we wouldn't have to watch a similarly desperate prelude performed by Joe Biden. Dozing off in the mayor's office after eighty has also become one of the most frequently discussed topics in commentary on the recent municipal elections.

In the end, it would only affect a few people, just as some professions are no longer practiced at an advanced age, so too would the political craft cease to be practiced. However, in this theater, we will likely have to get used to older faces of actors. The repertoire will be proportionately tragicomic.
