Romantic Petra Nesvačilová

Actress Petra Nesvačilová opted for a black evening gown with a pronounced shine and texture, reminiscent of the Hollywood stars of the 50s. The dress with significantly exposed shoulders, a corset cut, and ruched at the waist creates a beautiful silhouette that flatters the figure.Choosing black is always a safe bet and satin adds a festive shine.Accessories such as a golden necklace and black purse, match the attire in a subtle manner and do not disturb the overall impression. Red lipstick has long been an iconic element that underscores the elegant retro atmosphere.

What slightly spoils the final effect, however, is the processing of the fabric itself. The material appears "stiff" and at first glance, it seems that Petra does not find it very comfortable. On the other hand, the actress has stuck to classic and glam style, which really suits her. Maybe next time she could afford to be a little more playful and relaxed. Because this beauty certainly doesn't lack charisma.

Unmissable Hana Vagnerová

Actress Hana Vagnerová completely dominated the red carpet this year, rightfully earning not only the admiration of fashion critics but also the audience present. Her gown, combining a seductive purple with a metallic green skirt, was not only unmissable, but also thoughtfully styled. The cut of the dress struck similarities with iconic models from the "New Look" era of Dior. An elegant waist, skirt and smooth material create the perfect silhouette.

The top part of the dress in a deep purple tone beautifully matches her red hair. The whole impression is underscored by silver jewelry and a gold case, which adds to the festive impression of the outfit, but does not interfere. Hair styled into soft Hollywood waves and natural makeup with an emphasis on the lips and a radiant smile proves that Hana knows exactly how to stand out. She appears elegant and confident, which is an ideal combination with such a striking robe. It must be added that this is what a fashion victory looks like. Hana Vagnerová became the decoration of the evening and her model rightfully ranks among the (so far) most successful outfits of this year's KVIFF.

Ethereal Jenovéfa Boková

Actress Jenovéfa Boková transformed into a fragile fairy from another world on the red carpet. Her icy blue robe with a delicate train and a transparent scarf that elegantly flowed from the shoulders, appeared ethereal, feminine and delicate. The dress hugging her figure highlighted the actress's slim silhouette, while an asymmetric detail over the shoulder gave the model a fashionable flair. The fabric beautifully waved when moving, underlining the impression of lightness. It was as if Jenovéfa was just gently floating above the carpet.

The hairstyle and makeup were chosen very subtly, which was the right decision. More striking makeup could easily disrupt the harmony of the entire outfit. Loose hair with soft waves and pearl earrings beautifully highlighted the whole impression. All in all - delicate, romantic and unearthly beautiful. Jenovéfa Boková chose a dress that made her a true muse of this year's edition. This is a fashion fairy tale that was successful and has a happy ending.

Impressive Ornella Koktová

Entrepreneur Ornella Koktová certainly knows how to make an impression. On the red carpet in Karlovy Vary, she gambled on a dramatic black robe with sequins, feather trim and an asymmetric cut, which made her the queen of the evening in the spirit of old Hollywood. The effective combination of shine, volume and expressive texture created an outfit that directly commands attention. And rightfully so, it received it.

The one-shoulder dress, complemented by a dramatic sleeve and feather trim, acts as a tribute to the glamorous style of the 70s. Thanks to the striking shine and dark color, however, the model remains modern and daring. Ornella receives a huge plus for confidence. This type of dress is not for everyone. It has also not gone unnoticed that Ornella has recently lost a lot of weight. Her close friend Agáta Hanychová repeatedly pointed this out on her podcast, which the ladies have. Although even then it could not be said that Ornella needed any diet, now it is noticeable that she feels really good in her body. She has also confirmed this several times herself.

Boring Ester Geislerová

Actress Ester Geislerová is known for her sense of fashion and boldness in design, but this year on the red carpet in Karlovy Vary it seemed as if her instinct had lost its way. A white dress with a geometric pattern and oddly austere cut resembled more of an office coat than an evening gown worthy of a film festival.

Even though the cut mimics the silhouette and the material has an interesting texture, the whole thing comes off as bland and indistinct. Especially among the daring, feminine or dreamlike designs of other stars of the evening. A strict collar, long sleeves, and only a discreet slit unfortunately dampened all playfulness and sensuality. The white color suits the actress, but the outfit completely swallows her. Not even a feathered handbag (if it's not another application on the dress) and natural styling with loose hair can rescue the overall impression. The result is a dull look without a moment of surprise. And it's a great bore.

Provocative Annet Charitonova

Singer Annet Charitonova brought a dose of courage to the red carpet, but even that requires tact and cut. The model, reminiscent of a corset from a fashion editorial combined with a transparent skirt of delicate chiffon, tries to be sexy and provocative, but the result remains somewhere between a fashion experiment and dressing room before the show.

The biggest problem? The cleavage. The corset simply doesn't fit her in the breast area, which deforms the silhouette and looks very unnatural. Instead of refined elegance, the upper part of the body seems to be "choked," unnecessarily distracting the overall impression. The bottom part of the transparent dress with some kind of tippet could work in a different context. For instance, at a fashion gala or art event, but for the red carpet in Karlovy Vary it is a bit too revealing and not sophisticated enough. Make-up though, is well done, the hairstyle looks light and rebellious, which suits Annet. Her partner's styling is also very elegant. In a perfectly fitting tuxedo, Jakub Strach forms a strong contrast to her look. And perhaps he even saves her a bit.

Strangely colorful Veronika Chmelířová

Model Veronika Chmelířová chose for the red carpet a dress in an unusual bluish-purple tone, which tries to be elegant, but unfortunately looks somewhat faded and dull in photos. The color lacks flair and a clear direction. It's not a dramatic indigo, nor a gentle lilac. The result is a shade that rather dimmed Veronika, rather than illuminating her, which is a great pity.

The cut of the one-shoulder asymmetrical dress is tried and true, and "theoretically flatters the figure", but here it looks a bit shapeless. The gathering at the bodice and waist looks more like improvisation than deliberate design, and overall it somewhat resembles an evening gown from a rental from the turn of the new millennium. Plus for an elegant hairstyle in the style of old Hollywood and successful makeup. The black purse with a metallic shine is a safe choice, although perhaps too contrasty compared to the softer rest of the outfit. No matter how hard she tried, Veronika blended with the crowd this time. And that's definitely not the intention on the red carpet.

Inconspicuous Lucie Macháčková

On stage, the scriptwriter Lucie Macháčková is a woman who is not afraid to be sharp, funny and noticeably visible. On the red carpet, however, she chose a different tactic. Lucie arrived in a black dress with an asymmetric cut, which might have been elegant, if it did not appear too ordinary. Minimalism can be a great fashion tool, but here it slides towards the impression as if it was more about an evening screening than a gala premiere of one of the biggest film festivals.

The black color is indeed a safe choice, but in combination with a simple cut, without jewelry, without distinctive makeup, without a distinctive hairstyle, all responsibility for the wow effect remains on the dress. And it didn't come. Light hair and red lipstick are a pleasant contrast, but the styling lacks flair. Something that would attract attention, create a moment. Bag, shoes, accessories, everything seems to be missing. Simplicity can be beautiful, but here it's just dull.
