Lela Vémola wants 150 thousand for the children, 50 thousand is not enough. Without an agreement, they cannot afford life in the Czech Republic
Lela is now openly talking about how the current child support is not enough for her. Although the amount of approximately 50 thousand Czech crowns per month may seem above standard to many parents, according to her it doesn't cover the reality of the lifestyle their children are accustomed to.
Lela argues primarily with high costs:
- rent in a townhouse exceeds 58 thousand CZK,
- a luxury car costs her approximately 15 thousand CZK per month,
- on top of that, regular household expenses, school, extracurricular activities or healthcare must be added.
According to her, when caring for three children, items such as housing, kindergarten, school, food, clothing, doctors or leisure activities quickly add up, and that is precisely why she considers the current amount insufficient.
Lela also emphasizes that the children were accustomed to a certain standard of living, which she doesn't want to lower. That's precisely why she is demanding up to 150 thousand Czech crowns per month. She is also relying on legislation, according to which children have the right to maintain the standard of living they were accustomed to during the functioning of the family.
"I'm still on maternity leave, I can't go to work normally. I work on social media according to my possibilities. Look at the items – clothing, pharmacies, activities, entertainment. The fifty thousand is insufficient,"
explained Lela on a stream with a lawyer.
Vémola: "I don't accept ultimatums"
The fighter himself has already responded to her demands. In an interview for Expres.cz he clearly indicated that pressure and public ultimatums are not the way he wants to go.
"From the beginning, I've been saying one thing – I want to reach an agreement. But the agreement must be fair for both sides. It can't work in a way where one side sets their conditions and the other simply has to accept them."
At the same time, he emphasized that his ambition is not to be just a "wallet".
"I don't want to be a father who just financially provides for his children. I want to be part of their everyday life, participate in their upbringing and care. I'm prepared to bear my share of financial and personal responsibility, but I'm not prepared to accept ultimatums."
According to him, he is willing to contribute more than before, that is more than 50 thousand CZK, but the amount of 150 thousand CZK per month is excessive in his opinion.
"The absolute necessity for children of at least 150 thousand so they have something to eat, so they have money for activities, so they can go to school. I don't know if she lives in the real world. I think those mothers who are really on maternity leave must feel sorry when they hear that you can't live on 50 thousand,"
he noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that he actively takes care of the children and tries to spend as much time with them as possible, while also considering shared custody. He claims that his financial offers were not final and that during the negotiations, multiple options were discussed, which also included additional benefits. Attention was also drawn to the situation regarding the car that Lela used for daily functioning with the children. In the summer, he had it towed away, which sparked a wave of criticism and negative public reactions. However, Karlos suggested that the whole story has another side to it, which he has not yet spoken about publicly.
"If I started talking about what's really going on, I think a lot of people would be surprised,"
he hinted.
The entire video had a strange atmosphere – while he was talking about serious topics such as money, children and the breakdown of marriage, an unusual sound could be heard in the background, which added an even more absurd dimension to the whole situation.
Breakup, emotions and a new beginning
A personal dimension also enters the whole story, showing that the conflict isn't just about finances. After the breakup, Lela doesn't hide the fact that the period alongside the famous wrestler wasn't easy for her and she now views the separation as the right decision.
She indicated that living together had long been unsustainable and arguments would negatively affect the children as well. That's precisely why she considers living separately the best solution for everyone involved. At the same time, she openly admitted that she's the type of woman who longs for love, but after experiences from the past has natural fears. She's therefore not seeking a new relationship at any cost, rather letting things take their natural course. According to her words, she realizes that her life might make an intimidating impression on men, but she believes that if someone appears who isn't scared off by it, it could be the right partner.
"I'm the type of woman who needs love in life. On the other hand, after all those painful life trials, I'm already afraid of it. But I'm leaving the door open to it. I always say that what is meant to come into life will come. It's quite possible that men are afraid of me, but that's just how it is. If one day someone isn't afraid of me, that will probably be the real deal,"

The Distance Game: Slovakia as a Trump Card?
The tension between the partners was further escalated by Lela's mention of a possible move to Slovakia. This very possibility became one of the most sensitive points of the entire situation.
"I am not prepared to accept any financial condition under pressure or with the notion that if I don't accept it, my children will live hundreds of kilometers away from me,"
Vémola responded.
However, Lela claims that it's not an attempt to separate the children from their father, but an economic reality.
"If my husband and I don't agree on child support, we can't afford to live in the Czech Republic because life here is expensive."
At the same time, she points to her background in Slovakia – family, friends, and her own two-bedroom apartment. She claims that even in the case of moving, she would be able to ensure regular contact between the children and their father, writes MMA Shorties.
The difficult period has, according to her words, also affected her health. She admitted that due to stress and lack of sleep she gained several kilograms, writes Super.cz.
"I can't sleep at night, I wake up and go eat. This is how I try to calm down,"
she indicated openly.
Her daily routine is very demanding – she gets up early in the morning to manage to prepare herself and the children and take them to school and kindergarten, which are quite far from their new home. The logistics of everyday life is one of the reasons why she is considering another move.
"Every day I have to get up at five thirty and be in the car at six thirty. That's the reality of why I live so far away and not closer,"
Lela described her daily routine, adding that her housing is more distant also because when searching for it, she repeatedly encountered rejection, specifically due to her husband's name.
"It has never been a problem for me for the children to spend time with their father. Our children are very small, they mainly need the care of their mother, who looks after them and has an established routine with them."
Children at the Center of Attention
The most sensitive part of the entire conflict is precisely the children. Both sides indeed declare that they are acting in their best interest, but their ideas obviously differ. Lela emphasizes that she provides the majority of daily care, which according to her naturally increases financial demands as well. In addition to regular expenses, this also includes tuition, extracurricular activities, clothing, and healthcare, which in the case of children accustomed to a higher standard can climb to very high amounts.
On the contrary, Vémola repeatedly emphasizes that he wants to be a present father and not just one who sends money. According to his words, he is prepared to participate in the care personally as well, which may be another contentious point when setting up the family's functioning after the breakup.
Silence That Has a Reason
Although it might seem like an open media showdown, Vémola maintains distance in many matters.
"Even though I could publicly comment on a whole range of circumstances of our relationship, I don't do it primarily out of consideration for our children,"
he stated.
He suggests that the background of their relationship may be much more complicated than it appears on the surface.
Reality versus expectations: what practice shows
Similar cases are nothing exceptional in showbusiness. Child support is not only based on the needs of children, but also on the income and living standards of the parents.
Experts often point out that courts consider not only expenses, but also the real possibilities of the parent. At the same time, it is assessed who takes care of the children and to what extent. It is precisely the combination of these factors that can determine whether the final amount will be closer to 50 thousand CZK or to the requested 150 thousand CZK.
The whole case shows that it's not just about numbers. At stake is lifestyle, parental rights, the distance between parents, and emotional bonds. The dispute between Lela and Karlos is thus not only about child support, but also about what their parenthood will look like after the breakup. And although both talk about compromise, so far it looks more like tough negotiations in which not only money plays a role, but also emotions and the future of their children.
One thing is certain, however... this story is not over yet and further developments may bring new twists.
