SuperStar is back! Let's look at the most iconic moments from previous seasons.

It has been twenty-two years since we first watched Česko hledá SuperStar on television, in which the now iconic singer Aneta Langerová won. SuperStar is one of those television phenomena that almost everyone watched at the time. This year, the show aims to reach younger viewers and bring a fresh and modern touch to the competition. Therefore, rapper Calin, who enjoys great popularity among the younger generation, will join the panel of judges for the first time.

This will very likely attract new viewers and boost ratings. Whether such a step is necessary to maintain the show's relevance, we don't know, but we are already looking forward to the new judge in the seat. However, to shorten the long wait, let's look back into the past together.

Shopaholic Adel wins the star infantry

A name that provokes the entire internet. Almost everyone who follows Czech social networks has probably heard of Shopaholic Adel. However, few know that she also appeared in one of the seasons of SuperStar. And this is where the real bizarreness begins. If you're imagining that the performance was bad, think even worse. Adélka chose the song Someone Like You by her more famous namesake Adele. However, her performance couldn't really be compared to the original. Besides singing, her words slipped a bit, and her pronunciation was somewhat peculiar. But then again, we're quite used to that in Czech SuperStar.

Before she even started singing, she managed to show us some of her dance moves. It must be noted that it really wasn't necessary. Adel secured a spot in the Star Infantry with her performance.

Mail, mail the yellow car has

Some might describe him as an unremarkable young man in a baggy sweatshirt. This could describe the participant of SuperStar 2018, Ladislav Angyal. You probably won't remember him from the later rounds, but his song choice at the casting is unforgettable. Going into the competition with your own song is always a bit of a risk, but here it paid off.

Sitting on a stool with a guitar on his lap and a warm smile, he got the entire jury dancing. How? With a completely ordinary song about the post office and a yellow car. Láďa definitely doesn't fit into *Star Infantry* or the bizarre category, but we also can't overlook him.

Pagáčová vs Alagia

Two well-known names. A juror versus an influencer. Even such a clash appeared in the competition. Well-known influencer and current Czech Miss Grand Dominique Alagia appeared in the competition at just sixteen years old. Even at that time, she had hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. As a former conservatory student, a certain level was expected from her. And she delivered. Although she sang with slight nervousness and a trembling voice, it was nonetheless clear.

The problem arose even before her arrival, when the judges looked at Alagi's Instagram.

"You've got to be kidding, she looks like she's thirty,"

Patricie Pagáčová exclaimed rather inappropriately.

This greatly upset the participant herself and her fans. Patricie then received a wave of hate and nasty insults from them. This whole dispute continued even after the end of the contest, when the influencer reported receiving various insults and claimed that Pagáčová really didn't like her. The dispute between the two women subsequently extended beyond the contest and remains one of the discussed moments of this season.

If this year's series offers similarly significant moments, SuperStar fans definitely have something to look forward to.
