After the humanitarian situation in Ukraine has worsened due to systematic Russian attacks on energy and thermal infrastructure, according to US President Donald Trump, the occupier is allegedly to stop such attacks for a while. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards found themselves on the EU's list of terrorist organizations alongside Al-Qaeda, Hamas, or the Islamic State organization after the EU foreign ministers vote.
Russian President Vladimir Putin promised that the Russian army would not attack Kiev for a week, declared US President Donald Trump. Moscow has not yet confirmed that it agreed with the cessation of attacks on Kiev or other Ukrainian cities. After repeated Russian strikes, the Ukrainian capital is struggling with problems with the supply of electricity, heat, and water. Ukraine, which has been defending against the Russian invasion since February 2022, can expect, according to meteorologists, exceptionally severe frost in the coming days, when the temperature will drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius, reported by the portal Ceskenoviny.cz.
Foreign ministers of EU countries agreed to include the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in the Union's list of terrorist organizations, announced Kaja Kallasová, the head of the European diplomatic service, on the X network. This is a response to the Iranian regime's crackdown on recent widespread protests, which, according to observers, claimed thousands of victims, reported the agency AP. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards thus ended up on the Union's list of terrorist organizations alongside Al-Qaeda, Hamas, or the Islamic State organization, sometimes referred to by the Arab abbreviation Daesh.
Deputies should conclude today the initial debate on the amendment to the building law, which aims to speed up and facilitate the permitting of constructions. The deputies discussed the building amendment for about four hours on Wednesday. The coalition proposal aims to introduce a single building procedure at one office. The state construction administration will be established in particular. Opposition deputies proposed to return the draft to the authors for revision, which is practically another way of rejection. They were interested in, for example, who participated in the preparation of the proposed changes and what the impacts on public budgets will be, wrote the portal Ceskenoviny.cz.
The US embassy in Copenhagen angered Danish military veterans by removing flags in honor of soldiers who fell in Afghanistan from the area in front of the building. The Danish veterans association on social networks called this move "unnecessary and insensitive". A spokesperson for the US State Department told CNN that the placement of the flags was not coordinated with the staff of the US embassy in Copenhagen and that the embassy was not aware of the significance of the flags.
Economists in the United States argue that the recruitment of new employees in the country is stagnating. Last month, the number of job offerings only increased by a mere 50,000. Companies reportedly are in large part unsure. Therefore, the recruitment of employees is also stagnating overall. More and more companies are laying off employees, across all sectors. Many of them point to rising operating costs, which range from new tariffs by President Donald Trump, through inflation, to changes in consumer spending. The outlook for the US economy recently dropped to its lowest level since 2014, warned the agency AP.
