The daughter of former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey and a prosecutor in cases involving financier Jeffrey Epstein's partner Ghislaine Maxwell or rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs has been sacked. She is thus one of several with whom Donald Trump is likely settling scores. The US Department of Justice dismissed Maurene Comey, the daughter of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director James Comey and prosecutor in cases involving financier Jeffrey Epstein's partner Ghislaine Maxwell or rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, the portal Ceskenoviny.cz reported.
The dismissed is the daughter of James Comey, who led the FBI from 2013 to 2017, and the relationship between him and the current president is tense. Trump dismissed him during his first presidential term when Comey initiated an investigation to find out whether Trump's associates coordinated their actions with Russia regarding influencing the presidential elections in 2016.
At least two people were killed and more than twenty others were injured this evening in a Russian air strike on a shopping center and market in the city of Dobropillja in eastern Ukraine, which is located about 20 kilometers west of the front. This was announced by the governor of the Donetsk region Vadym Filashkin and he warned that other people could remain under the rubble and search for them continues.
"The Russians again deliberately struck where there are always a lot of people - at a shopping center in the middle of the city,"
Filashkin stated on social networks.
According to his preliminary estimate, about 30 shops were damaged and over 300 apartments in surrounding high-rise residential buildings, wrote the server Ceskenoviny.cz.
The government of the small inland African country of Eswatini confirmed that it has accepted five people deported from the United States. They are reportedly citizens of Laos, Vietnam, Jamaica, Cuba, and Yemen, reported Al Jazeera.
The deportations are part of a broader trend of US President Donald Trump, which involves the deportation of foreign nationals to countries other than their own. Critics argue that the Trump administration relies on countries that violate human rights to accept the deported, thereby exposing them to the risk of inhuman treatment.
