The German airport in Munich was closed on Thursday evening and more than ten flights were cancelled after drones were spotted near its airspace. At least 17 flights were stopped in Munich, affecting nearly 3,000 passengers.
Munich airport said it diverted another 15 flights to surrounding cities. It was not immediately confirmed where the drones had flown from. Several airports across Europe have been closed in recent weeks due to unidentified drones, subsequently airport operations were resumed, reported BBC.
