Iran Responds to Ceasefire Proposal with Efforts to End the War

Iran has sent its response to the latest U.S. ceasefire proposal through Pakistani intermediaries, aiming to focus discussions on a permanent end to the war. Iran seeks to end the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, where Israel is fighting against the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah, and to ensure the security of maritime navigation, Iranian state television reported. Washington's latest proposal involved an agreement to end the war, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and limit Iran's nuclear program.

The White House has not yet commented on Iran's response, but American President Donald Trump accused Tehran on social media, according to AP, of "playing" with the U.S. for almost 50 years, adding: "They won't be laughing anymore!"

Foreign media consider the events at the Slavia stadium to be madness

"Insane footage! Hundreds of Slavia fans stormed the field and the opposing team's goalkeeper was attacked. Many fans had flares in their hands and headed straight for the away section, truly depraved behavior," cited The Sun, according to ČTK.

Two Slavia players, who received a red card during the derby, the league's top scorer Tomáš Chorý and defender David Douděra, have been suspended for the rest of the season according to Tvrdík. The club subsequently placed them on the transfer list. "Both are members of the national team, which has qualified for the upcoming World Cup for the first time in twenty years," notes a report from CNN, which was featured on the television network's front page. The match was also reported on in Germany, Canada, and Australia.

The Victory Day Parade in Russia Looked Different

"The parade featured no tanks, no rocket launchers, and no intercontinental ballistic missiles. None of the military hardware that the Kremlin typically showcases on Victory Day to demonstrate Russian military might on the international stage. President Vladimir Putin seemed reluctant to limit the parade, which is always intended to demonstrate Russian power. However, he was forced to do so by the fear of a possible Ukrainian attack," commented BBC's Steve Rosenberg, who repeatedly attends the traditional event of the Russian regime in Moscow.

Travelers from the ship affected by hantavirus are heading home

Passengers evacuated from the cruise ship affected by hantavirus began departing for home on Sunday aboard military and government aircraft after the ship docked at the Canary Islands, where passengers were escorted ashore by staff in full-body protective suits and respiratory masks.

The Spanish passengers were the first to leave the MV Hondius after its arrival at Tenerife, the largest island of the Spanish archipelago off the coast of West Africa. From there, they were flown to Madrid and transferred to a military hospital. A few hours later, a plane carrying the evacuated French passengers landed in Paris, where rescue vehicles awaited them, reported AP.
