Eva Perkausová put on a beautiful dress

Last February, the Art Nouveau spaces of the Municipal House in Prague transformed into the catwalk of the most prestigious event of the season. While the 11th Czech-Slovak Ball celebrated the anniversary of the Liberated Theatre, guests celebrated mainly luxury, diamonds and occasionally some rather risky creativity. Let's recall the biggest triumphs and most painful missteps in this fashion inventory, which then shook up the society columns.

There were several prominent ladies at the ball that are worth mentioning even after a year. Who made an impression on us?

Eva Perkausová

The absolute star and the "most valuable" woman of the evening was the hostess Eva Perkausová. She wore a velvet burgundy dress from Zuzana Lešák Černá with a dreamy ruffle train and elegant gloves. What took everyone's breath away, however, was her jewelry. The ruby set, worth an incredible 10.5 million crowns, really suited her and only emphasized the transformation she has undergone in recent years. She used to be known mainly as a woman who attracts with her body and was labeled as a sex symbol.

But Eva apparently hasn't forgotten about that yet, because the neckline of the dress was very daring and numerous criticisms emerged that the dress didn't sit well on her in this area. Overall, however, it worked very well.

Andrea Verešová

Last year, the model Andrea Verešová confirmed her reputation as a fashion icon who rarely steps wrong at the Czech-Slovak ball. While in previous years she often opted for daring cuts and deep necklines, for 2025 she chose the path of noble sophistication. Andrea wore a robe, which was a clear tribute to the golden era of Hollywood and the style of Audrey Hepburn. The black dress with striking white trimming at the top looked extremely elegant and mature.

The fitted silhouette emphasized her figure, but due to the absence of dramatic splits, she looked very noble. The white color around the neckline beautifully lightened the face and added the necessary contrast to the model, which stood out on the red carpet.

Karolína Mališová

Miss Karolína Mališová demonstrated at last year's Czech-Slovak ball that she is not afraid of colors and that her risk with a bold shade paid off. While most ladies opted for safe dark tones, Karolína wore a dress that literally lit up the entire Municipal House. She wore a stunning gown in sunflower yellow by the Poner siblings. The dress had a sophisticated cut with a corset top adorned with 3D floral applications, which smoothly transitioned into a rich skirt with a train.

Last year, the model complemented her look with luxurious diamond jewels worth over 4 million crowns, adding a touch of unattainable elegance to the whole look. It's clear why we don't want to forget about this beauty. That was really successful! A very similar dress was also worn last year by model Krystyna Pyszková, whom you can see in our gallery.

Daniela Zálešáková

Influencer Daniela Zálešáková went for a bolder choice, which balanced on the edge between a fairy tale princess and modern provocation. And she looked like an ice queen in a perfectly fitting corset! The upper part of the dress was made up of a transparent corset adorned with silver embroidery and crystals, which very prominently emphasized the neckline. This element, in combination with the "drooping" straps, was perfectly and sensually effective. The bottom part of the model was a smooth, glossy skirt, which revealed the whole leg due to its deep slit, which is already a kind of signature element for Daniela.

She complemented her look with a high-ponytail that revealed her face and delicate necklace, and opted for more prominent eye makeup that matched the dramatic style of her dress. Many argued at the time that, in the context of the prestigious ball at the Municipal House, the corset seemed too much like underwear, but in combination with the beautiful tan, it really suited Daniele.

Andrea Bezděková and Sebastian

Last year at the Municipal House, Andrea Bezděková proved that even in black, you can completely stand out from the crowd of dresses. Her design was a daring play with texture, balancing on the edge between haute couture and rock rebel. And she looked fantastic.

The dress by Lukáš Macháček fitted her like a second skin and she appeared confident and very feminine in it. Even though it was one of the boldest models of the evening, thanks to the absence of deep necklines and the choice of black color, it remained within the boundaries of elegance required by the Czech-Slovak ball. The entire robe was covered with dense embroidery and beads, creating organic patterns and giving the dress depth and luxurious shine. Top-notch!

Romana Goščíková

This model by Romana Goščíková was a real challenge for the fashion police in 2025 - and unfortunately not in a good sense of the word. If you are looking for the definition of "confusion" on the red carpet, you have just found it. The actress wore a dress in a deep orange to mustard shade, which appeared heavy and misshapen at first glance.

The upper part of the dress consisted of some strange asymmetrical crossing and layering, which visually added to Romana's volume and completely took away her neck and shoulders. Instead of shaping the figure, the model rather "swallowed" it. Long gloves in the same shade and material were the final blow. Instead of evoking the elegance of the 1950s, they rather evoked protective aids for cleaning and overall appeared very cheap. The matte fabric, which also wrinkled in critical parts, simply does not belong to the prestigious ball at the Municipal House. It lacked the nobility and lightness that we saw in other ladies.

Michaela Maurerová

While other ladies fought for the title of queen of the evening in billion-dollar jewels or neon colors, actress Michaela Maurerová chose a path that ends in the gray zone of oblivion in the fashion police. The actress wore dark green velvet dress with long sleeves and a stand-up collar. Even though the emerald color is a sure bet with her red hair, the cut was too boring and staid.

The glossy velvet is indeed a classic for the ball season, but with this model it seemed somewhat heavy and added unnecessary volume to the otherwise slim Michaela in the waist and hips area. The lack of any significant element made the model only easy to overlook. Even the black earrings, which disappeared in the dark hair, did not save the overall impression.
