Yellow really suited Zuzana Zlatohlávková

The red carpet at the Český lev is not just about film awards, but also about fashion, which often evokes the same emotions as the films themselves. Looking back at last year's event, it becomes clear that while some guests opted for timeless elegance, others chose to shock, experiment, or turn fashion into a little show. Which outfits caught attention and which ones rather caused bewilderment?

Radiant Zuzana Zlatohlávková

Actress Zuzana Zlatohlávková from the series Brothers and Sisters definitely knows how to capture attention. At the gala evening last year, she appeared in an eye-catching gown in a bold yellow that literally lit up the entire red carpet. The color is daring, energetic, and suits the actress. Combined with her curly hair and natural makeup, she exudes a fresh and very feminine vibe. The model, however, is mainly based on dramatic volume. The oversized sleeves are unmissable and give the dress a striking fashion character. On one hand, it's an interesting element that sets the outfit apart from classic evening gowns, but on the other hand, they might be too dominant for some. The sleeves take up so much space that at times they overshadow the actress herself.

An interesting detail is the deeper neckline, which lightens the whole ensemble and adds femininity to the dress. The lower part of the model, on the other hand, is much calmer and more elegant. The delicate light skirt balances the striking top, ensuring that the entire outfit does not seem too cumbersome.

The styling is also very well chosen. Zlatohlávková did not opt for excessive accessories and let the dress stand out. Simple earrings and subtle makeup are exactly what such a striking model needs. The result does not seem chaotic but rather like a well-thought-out fashion experiment. It is clear that this model will not be among the inconspicuous. It is playful, striking, and a bit theatrical. Just the kind of thing that suits a festive event. Thanks to this, Zuzana Zlatohlávková appeared confident, and it was evident she was thoroughly enjoying the evening.

Simona Lewandowska and Her Minimalism

This was one of the boldest outfits. Last year, when Simona Lewandowska appeared at the gala evening, she was among those who opted for a more striking style and fashion experiment. However, this year she chose a completely different strategy. Instead of dramatic cuts and opulence, she arrived in soft pink and purple dresses that focus more on simplicity and feminine elegance. The fitted model with a turtleneck looks very clean and modern. The dress accentuates the actress's slim figure, and due to the gathering at the waist, it doesn't appear overly austere. Furthermore, the material creates an interesting texture that enlivens the otherwise minimalist design. The color is delicate, romantic, and surprisingly well matches the actress with fair skin and hair. And the fact that something is slightly visible is sophisticated and sexy in this context. Lewandowska herself admitted last year that she didn't even realize it would turn out this way in the end.

Styling plays a big role this time. Lewandowska chose a sleek hairstyle pulled back, which looks very elegant and highlights the face and overall silhouette of the dress. The makeup is subtle, which suits the simple model.

Táňa Pauhofová opted for understated elegance

While dramatic cuts and opulent gowns often win on the red carpet, Táňa Pauhofová has long been among actresses who prove that strength can also be found in simplicity. Much like last year, she again opted for pure elegance without unnecessary theatrics. The actress chose a long dress in a deep blue shade, which looks very sophisticated. The color is striking yet refined and beautifully complements her fair skin and auburn hair. Additionally, the material of the dress interacts wonderfully with light, making the outfit gently shimmer in photos and motion, exuding a luxurious impression.

The cut is very minimalist. A looser silhouette without a pronounced waist favors comfort and natural movement over emphasizing curves. However, this might be a bit of a shame for some. Pauhofová has a figure that could handle a bolder cut or more distinct construction. This way, the dress looks very elegant, but perhaps a bit too safe. However, the styling is very well chosen. The actress allows her natural beauty to shine, her hair is styled into a gentle hairdo and when it comes to jewelry, she keeps it simple. This is typical for Pauhofová. She doesn't feel the need to draw attention at any cost. Simply put, the actress belongs to those women who don't need extravagant gowns to stand out on the red carpet.

Lenka Vlasáková and Jan Dolanský: A Classic That Never Disappoints

Looking back at last year's Czech Lion event, the acting couple Lenka Vlasáková and Jan Dolanský was undoubtedly among the most stylish pairs of the evening. While many guests experimented with fashion, they opted for timeless elegance, which practically always works on the red carpet. Lenka Vlasáková arrived in a black evening gown with a prominent corset bodice that beautifully accentuated her figure. The dress appeared very noble and feminine at the same time. The velvet material gave the outfit depth and a luxurious effect, while the long black gloves added a slight touch of old Hollywood glamour to the entire outfit. This detail elevated the otherwise classic model to a much higher level.

The actress also opted for a very restrained styling. Her hair was styled into an elegant coiffure, and she left her statement jewelry at home this time, so nothing disturbed the overall impression. The result appeared very cultivated and confident. Beside her stood Jan Dolanský in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie, which is a reliable choice for similar galas. His outfit was not extravagant, but it precisely met what is expected at such an event. A tailored cut, clean lines, and the perfect combination with a white shirt created a very elegant ensemble. As a couple, they appeared very harmonious on the red carpet. Their outfits complemented each other and created an impression of classic cinematic elegance, which is not seen so often at similar events nowadays.

Awkward Design of Daniela Špinar

Among the outfits at last year's Czech Lion was one that sparked quite lively reactions. Director Daniela Špinar arrived in an outfit that certainly did not follow the path of classic evening elegance. The black dress with thin straps was more reminiscent of a satin nightgown than a traditional red carpet gown. The delicate lace around the waist added sensuality to the design, yet the whole outfit seemed like something from the nineties. For a festive evening where most guests opt for more striking and formal designs, it might have seemed surprisingly relaxed.

The most prominent element became the large red necklace with long fringes. It drew all the attention and created a very strong contrast to the otherwise simple black dress. For some, it was an interesting fashion accent, for others, more of an accessory that didn't quite match the overall look. The styling was then completed with black pumps and fishnet stockings, which added a slightly cabaret touch to the ensemble. It was this combination that pushed the outfit even more into an extravagant realm and made Daniela Špinar one of the most talked-about figures of the evening. However, it's fair to say that the director has never been the type to try to blend in. Her style has long been distinctive and often provocative. And exactly this was reaffirmed on the red carpet at last year's Česky lev.

Unmissable Jan Červ

While most guests opt for tuxedos or elegant evening gowns, artist Jan Červ arrived in an outfit that was more of a fashion manifesto than a classic outfit. The pink ensemble made of shiny fabric consisted of dozens of gathered ruffles and layers, creating a dramatic, almost sculptural silhouette. The whole piece resembled a combination of haute couture and theatrical costume. The dress literally undulated around the body and appeared as a striking fashion installation on the red carpet.

The stylization itself was bold. A bald head, a prominent chain, and minimalist accessories allowed the model to stand out. Červ clearly demonstrated that his approach to fashion isn't about elegance in the traditional sense, but rather about expression and artistic gesture. For some, it was a fascinating fashion show, for others, an outfit completely unsuitable for the Český lev gala evening. One thing is certain, amidst the crowd of classic tuxedos and black dresses, he definitely couldn't be missed.

Eva Toulová Like a Fairy Tale

Among the most striking and simultaneously most discussed models was also the outfit of director Eva Toulová. She is known for taking fashion as a game and is definitely not afraid to experiment. This time, however, her choice almost seemed like a costume from a fairy tale movie. The dress in soft lilac and golden tones was unmissable at first glance. Huge gathered sleeves, a prominent bow at the neck, and a richly pleated skirt created a very dramatic silhouette that resembled a theatrical costume more than a classic evening gown for the red carpet.

The material with a shiny pattern gave the model a luxurious touch, yet the overall volume of the dress seemed somewhat excessive. The combination of a striking top, corset, and voluminous skirt created the impression that too many ideas came together in one dress. However, it's true that Toulová never tries to blend in at similar events. On the contrary, her style has long been extravagant and often resembles a fashion performance. And that's exactly how this model appeared, more like a small fashion theater than classic gala evening elegance. On the red carpet at last year's Czech Lion, Toulová certainly didn't go unnoticed. The question remains, though, whether it was a fashion moment or more of a costume better suited for a theatrical stage.
