American Planes Denied Access to Spanish Airspace

Spain has closed its airspace to American planes involved in the war in Iran, officials said on Monday. This is another step by the most vocal European critic of U.S. and Israeli military actions in this conflict.

The country had previously announced that the U.S. could not use shared military bases in this war, which Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez labeled as illegal, reckless, and unjust. Defense Minister Margarita Robles stated that the same logic applies to the use of Spanish airspace, reported AP.
