Military Attacks in the Middle East Intensify, Dubai Closes Airspace
Early Tuesday morning, explosions were heard over Dubai as the United Arab Emirates' military intervened against incoming Iranian missiles, prompting the country to temporarily close its airspace and the international airport near the city.
The Israeli military announced early Tuesday morning that it had launched a "major wave of attacks" on Iran's capital and was also increasing attacks on the Hezbollah militant movement in Lebanon, which is supported by Iran. The announcement of new attacks came as Israel reported two salvos of missiles from Iran. Concerns of a global energy crisis emerged even as only a small number of ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime route typically used by one-fifth of the world's oil, reported the AP.
