Trump plans nuclear tests
President Donald Trump has called on American military commanders to test American nuclear weapons. According to his words, he is responding to the nuclear tests of other countries, such as Russia and China. This happened just a few days after Trump condemned Russia for testing a nuclear missile, which reportedly has unlimited range. The US has not conducted nuclear weapons tests since 1992.
"In view of the testing programs of other countries, I have instructed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons at the same level," he wrote on social media shortly before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea. The USA has more nuclear weapons than any other country, Trump further stated, with Russia in second place and China "a distant third," according to BBC Trump.
